Why is there not presently a retail version of the design software?

We have a version built for our in-house use and have debated releasing a consumer version.  The biggest obstacle to this is cost.  In order to recoup the couple thousand hours needed to create the software, considering the limited size market, it would be quite expensive ($2500 or so).  If you do many designs each year and would be interested in COMPLETE design software in the price range mentioned, drop us a note and if we hear from enough potential purchasers we will look more closely at releasing a full retail version.

Is AutoComment available for other programming languages?

Not at this time.  I have a version that works with JAVA but since there are UNLIMITED number of IDEs for JAVA it is very difficult to tightly integrate it with a given editor.  I am working on getting it to work with any editor that can pass items like current file, line number etc. to an external program.  If I ever get around to finishing it I will post it on the site.
