We design many types of on-lot septic systems. Below is a sample of
some of the designs offered. Please contact us if you do not see what you
are looking for as this is by no means a comprehensive list. To see what
is needed before a septic system design can be completed please see our
frequently asked questions.
- Elevated Sand Bed Systems
-
Elevated sand beds are the prevalent type of septic system in
northeastern PA. These systems are suitable for soils with a
limiting
zone of at least 20".
- Seepage Bed Systems
-
Seepage beds are suitable for soils that have a
limiting zone of at
least 60". This systems are placed in-ground so are much better
aesthetically.
- Trench Systems
-
In-ground trench systems are suitable for soils with a
limiting
zone of at least 60". They are required in place of a seepage bed on
slopes greater than 8%.
- At-Grade Systems
-
At-grade systems are suitable for soils with a
limiting zone of
between 48" and 60". These systems are very similar to Elevated Sand
Bed systems without the sand layer. For this reason, they are more
aesthetically pleasing.
- Other Systems
-
There are many other septic systems types that can be used.
These systems include free access sand filters, peat, spray, and drip systems along with a variety of
other alternate and experimental type systems. For more information
